Julia was admitted as a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of the ACT after completing a bachelor of Arts in 2004 and a Bachelor of Laws in 2007 at the University of Newcastle, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Australian National University. Julia is also admitted to the High Court of Australia.
Julia originally began her career in the Commonwealth Public Service which has provided her invaluable experience which she is able to use in her family law practice.
Julia has a particular interest in advocacy and mediation and has gained considerable experience in commercial litigation, building and construction matters and civil litigation. Julia now specialises in Family Law, including property matters, children’s matters, Domestic Violence and Personal Protection Orders and Care and Protection matters. Julia is an accredited Independent Children’s Lawyer representing the interests of children in circumstances where their parents may not be able to care for them.
Julia regularly appears in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, Family Court, Children’s Court, ACAT and the Magistrates Court of the ACT as well as representing clients at mediation and Family Dispute Resolution Conferences.
Julia is a member of the Women’s Lawyers Association of the ACT and was President of the Association from October 2010 to October 2011. Julia is also a member of the Equalising Opportunities in the Law Committee of the ACT Law Society.
Julia prides herself on being approachable and ensuring that her clients have the most favourable experience possible during periods of high tension and stress.
Madi began her role as Practice Manager in May 2014 where she became responsible for the management and operation of Infinity Legal.
Since starting her career in the legal sector at age 17 Madi has developed her skills in human resources, finance, IT support, debt collection, compliance and business development. These skills are essential in the running of the firm and allow Madi to oversee all aspects of the business for both our Canberra and Darwin offices.
Madi, along with the admin team ensure that we are able to deliver the high level of service and care to our clients that we pride ourselves on. Madi is passionate about supporting women in the legal industry and does so through her membership with ACT Women Lawyers Association and also enjoys mentoring and supporting other young professionals.
Jessica completed her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Communications at the University of Canberra. She later completed a post graduate diploma in Law at the Australian National University. She was admitted to practice as a lawyer in 2012. Since 2011 Jessica has worked exclusively in Family Law, and joined Infinity Legal in November 2015.
Prior to joining Infinity Legal, Jessica worked for a large family law firm. She has gained valuable experience from both these environments and has a broad base of knowledge and experience over wide-ranging family law issues.
Jessica provides tailored advice to her clients in relation to all areas of family law. She believes that in family law the best outcomes are achieved when clients are provided with solid, sensible advice tailored to their particular circumstance. She focuses on achievable outcomes. Jessica brings strong advocacy on behalf of her clients and seeks to maximise opportunities to a reach a resolution.
In May 2017, Infinity Legal opened an office in Darwin where Jessica is the primary solicitor. Jessica has experience in both the Federal Circuit Court of Australia and the Family Court of Australia and enjoys representing clients in all areas of family law. She has significant litigation experience in both property and child-related matters as well as representing clients at mediation and Family Dispute Resolution Conferences.
Tiffany Long (Currently on extended leave)
Tiffany joined Infinity Legal as a Paralegal in early 2014 before being admitted as a Solicitor in 2015 after completing her Bachelor of Arts and Law from the Australian National University. Tiffany has a particular interest in family law and prides herself on providing a high level of service to clients.
Tiffany enjoys the dynamic environment offered by the legal community and takes every opportunity to become involved in events and seminars.
Association Tiffany is enjoying her opportunity to participate and give back to the legal sector.Tiffany has previously worked in a commercial law firm, gaining experience in a number of different areas of law, ranging from large commercial litigation matters, wills and probate and property law.
Laura was admitted to practice in South Australia in 2012 after completing a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice at Flinders University. She joined Infinity Legal in March 2017 after working in a boutique Criminal and Family Law firm in Adelaide.
Laura has a particular interest in Family Law and Children’s Court matters and is currently undertaking her Master’s Degree with majors in Family Law and Dispute Resolution.
Laura offers practical advice to clients in all aspects of their family law matter and is passionate about achieving the best possible outcome for her clients.
Nuno joined the team at Infinity Legal in July 2014 shortly after moving to Australia from Portugal.
Nuno worked in our admin team and provided support to Reception before moving home to Portugal for a couple of years. Nuno is still a part of the Infinity Legal team, he works for us remotely on a part time basis and is responsible for invoicing each fortnight.
We are looking forward to Nuno returning to Canberra in 2019 and having him back in the office full time!
Renee joined the Infinity Legal team in 2017 as our Receptionist.
Since joining us, Renee has continued to develop her skills in legal support & administration. Renee now provides legal support to our Solicitor’s and compliments the legal team by ensuring we provide a high level of service to our clients.
Heather joined Infinity Legal in March 2017 after relocating to Canberra.
Heather has extensive experience in customer service and prides herself on providing a professional and friendly service to clients. Although Heather now supports our legal team you will often find her answering the phones and greeting clients in reception.
Andrea is the friendly face greeting clients in our Darwin office. Being our smaller office, Andrea’s role in Darwin is quite diverse.
From answering phones to providing Jessica with strong legal & administrative support, Andrea is a great asset to our team. With a wealth of experience focusing on client needs, Andrea ensures the smooth running of day to day operations in our Darwin office.
